We cannot fly the whole of humanity to COPs but we can bring COPs discussions to every city and country

Anne Langourieux, Co-founder of AlterCOP

AlterCOP is not a protest; it is a forum for mindful optimism and unwavering quench for impact”

Thibaut Meurgue-Guyard, Co-founder of AlterCOP

AlterCOP aims to bridge the gap between global COP proceedings and local corporations and communities. By facilitating dialogue across diverse stakeholders, from corporate leaders and policymakers to youth and NGOs, we empower individuals to share knowledge, forge meaningful alliances, and spark tangible environmental action within their own spheres of influence.

While our journey began in Singapore in 2024, AlterCOP has always been global as we believe a sustainable and flourishing future requires global collaboration and solutions rooted in local realities.

AlterCOP is expanding into new countries by working with local partners. From 5 countries in 2024 to 10 countries in 2025, we invite you to join our growing network for 2026 as we continue to create a global ripple effect.

Building on the momentum of our 2024 and 2025 editions, we are preparing to bring to cities worldwide the critical discussions of COP17 on Nature in October 2026 and COP31 on Climate in November 2026.

AlterCOP is an independent, global movement to complement COPs

Positive and inspiring synergies

We offer a practical, accessible and inclusive approach to sustainability.

Since Day 1 we have proposed vegetarian food, zero waste and a no-flight policy for our speakers to show Sustainability practices are at the core of our Action.

We are offering a catalyst to COPs to maximise their impact across communities and regions.

Our vision of sustainability is positive. We know the road is long to achieve net Zero but we believe we can do it!
