Activity Zone 1 : Workshops 

The Workshops zone provides a space for interactive sessions where attendees can engage in hands-on activities and group discussions to enhance their understanding of key topics. Each workshop is designed to foster collaboration, practical learning, and skills development.

Activity Zone 2: Masterclasses

The Masterclasses zone offers in-depth sessions led by experts, aimed at providing advanced knowledge and specialized skills to participants. These sessions are ideal for those looking to deepen their expertise in specific areas.

Main Plenary 

The Main Plenary serves as the central hub for high-profile discussions and presentations. This stage hosts a variety of sessions, from expert talks to panel discussions, bringing together thought leaders to share insights and drive impactful conversations.

Networking Space

A dynamic networking space where attendees can watch live broadcasts from COP29, allowing them to stay updated with real-time developments while engaging in informal discussions and networking opportunities.

General Questions

  1.  Is the event open to the public?

The event is open to anyone willing to learn more about Sustainability and COP 30; sustainability practitioners, curious Singapore residents, experts in their field, etc. Our programme will cater to all audiences.

  2. What do I need to come with to attend the sessions?

The confirmation email is enough!

 

  3. Can I attend all sessions with an Afternoon Pass?

- Afternoon activities require an Afternoon Pass: Covers activities in the Central Stage from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. 
- Evening activities require an Evening Pass: Covers events from 7:30 PM onwards.
- To attend both, purchase both passes.


Please note:
- Some afternoon activities (such as dialogues) may require an additional ticket.
5pm - 7pm sessions, masterclasses and workshops are ticketed separately and are not included in the Afternoon or Evening Pass.
 

  4. Do I need to attend all sessions with an Afternoon Pass?

No. You may join any session in the Central Stage from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. If you need to take calls or work between sessions, use the dedicated “Networking Room,” which is also available for networking.

  5. What is the refund policy? 

Afternoon Passes and Evening Passes are free.
Masterclasses and Workshops have no refund policy.
Tickets can be transferred to someone else by emailing hello@altercop.com to validate the transfer.

  6. Can I bring children to the event?

The event is not open to children.

Event Basics

  1. What are the values of the event?

AlterCOP is a Collaborative and Volunteer-based; more than 50 volunteers are currently working on curating the daily programs & fine tuning the organisation. These are our values;

  • We don't need a few to be perfect, we need everyone to do their best, one action at a time. The solutions for a better future already exist.

  • No criticism, focus on the positive side of things and actions

  • No greenwashing, but no calling out on behalf of the AlterCOP 30

  • We recognise that acceptance of different opinions is essential to our growth. We welcome constructive disagreement and debate, as long as it is based on active listening, sharing and mutual respect.

 

   2. When and where will the event take place?

All week days events will be located in City Square Mall at Singapore Sustainability Academy at the following address;

The event will take place at Singapore Sustainability Academy, featuring four dedicated zones:
- Central Stage: Hosting the Corporate Testimony Series, Youth and Community Sharing Series, Expert Talks, and Panel Discussions and Dialogues.
- Green Room and Blue Room: Dedicated spaces for Workshops and Masterclasses.
- Networking Room: Providing a space for networking.
- Outside Space: Primarily used for dining, mingling and visiting exhibitors’ booths.

   3. How can I register or share registration for the event? 

Please access the registration link at https://www.altercop.com under “Tickets”. All registrations are processed through the Tessera platform.

   4. What is the cost of attendance? 

Central Stage Events: FREE.
Workshops and Masterclasses: Fee of $8 for adults, $5 for students applied to:
- Ensure a proper audience, considering an average 50% drop rate for free events.
- Cover stationery and materials for sessions.

Speakers and Content

  1. Who are the keynote speakers and panellists?

Speakers and panellists will represent all stakeholders involved in Sustainability; NGOs, Corporates, Communities, Government Agencies, Citizens & Activists, Academics. All speakers and panellists agreed to join the event on a pro bono basis.

   2. What topics will be covered at the event?

All the topics covered at AlterCOP 30 are topics covered at COP 30.

   3. What is the difference between the Main stage and the other stages?

Central Stage: Hosts all Afternoon and Evening Pass activities, including Corporate Testimony Series, Youth and Community Sharing Series, Expert Talks, Panel Discussions, and Dialogues.
Blue Room and Green Room: Dedicated spaces for Workshops and Masterclasses.
Networking Room: Screens COP 30 programmes and hosts networking sessions.

  4. Is the event geared towards a specific industry or audience?

As the event is open to anyone willing to learn more about Sustainability and COP 30, all industries and audiences are welcome to attend. Our panels & talks will involve a wide versatility of speakers to prove our objective of inclusivity.

By Bicycle;

You can park your bicycle at City Square Mall on Levels B4 and 1.

 

By Taxi; 

Taxi Stand is located at Basement 1 via Kitchener Road.

   2. Is parking available?

City Square Mall has over 500 car parking spaces at Basement 3 and 4. The carpark has a height restriction of 2.1m. There are spaces allocated for families, eco cars and the handicapped. 

Pricing below for Monday to Friday (except Public Holiday);

  • 6am - 5:50pm; $2.18 for the first hour or part thereof, $1.09 for every subsequent 30 mins or part thereof

  • 6pm - 5:59am; $3.27 per entry

 

   3. What is the dress code for the event?

The dress code is business or smart casual. You may be staying in and around air-conditioning that can run fairly cold, so dressing in beachwear and flip flops will not be ideal attire.

 

   4. Is there a food and beverage area?

Light bites and pastries will be provided for lunch and for afternoon sessions.
Refreshments are available during our afternoon break.
The networking area offers coffee, tea, and quiet workspace between sessions.
Evening Spotlight comes with a buffet dinner, opening at 7:00 pm
The terrace space is also available if you wish to bring and enjoy your own food.

   5. Can I buy food at the AlterCOP 30’s location?

We will not serve food ourselves, but you will find plenty of restaurants to visit at City Square Mall; https://www.citysquaremall.com.sg/shops/food-beverage/

 

   6. How many people will join the sessions?

We are targeting at approx. 300 people per day at AlterCOP 30.
