Bringing AlterCOP to Cambodia: Local Roots, Global Influence

After a successful first edition in 2024, AlterCOP Cambodia returns this year as part of the regional AlterCOP network initiated in Singapore.

Building on the spirit of collective learning and local action, AlterCOP brings together professionals, academics, youth, NGOs, and policymakers to explore how global climate discussions can be translated into local realities — and how grassroots initiatives contribute to advancing real solutions.

In 2025, the Cambodian edition will take place over a weekend, featuring roundtable discussions and hands-on workshops designed to advance sustainability, spark collaboration, and keep climate awareness alive in our communities.

AlterCOP 29 Singapore

Why it matters

Cambodia is among the countries most vulnerable to climate change — facing floods, droughts, and rising temperatures that endanger livelihoods. But it’s also a nation of growing climate ambition, with renewed commitments under its NDC and rising local initiatives for sustainability. AlterCOP Cambodia aims to amplify these efforts, connect people, and spark new solutions for resilience.
