Bringing AlterCOP to Malaysia: A Local Movement with Global Relevance

After a lively one-day debut in 2024, AlterCOP is returning to Malaysia in 2025 — bigger, bolder, and more meaningful than ever.

AlterCOP 30 Malaysia brings communities, academics, professionals, NGOs, and youth together to connect, learn, share, and take action for a better future.

While world leaders meet in Brazil for COP30, we’re bringing the global climate conversation home, creating a space where ideas spark, connections grow, and local action makes a global difference.

Over four inspiring days, we’ll explore what matters most to Malaysia: just transition, biodiversity, green finance, circular economy, and social equity. It’s not just about big policies — it’s about real stories, local solutions, and voices that deserve to be heard.

This is more than an event. It’s a movement — entirely powered by passionate volunteers who believe that real climate action starts with people like us, and open to everyone ready to be part of it.
