Unlocking Conservation Finance: Bridging Gaps Between Corporate Funds and Nature

Malaysia is prominent among the nations that should be in the receiving line of funding to prevent biodiversity loss, conserve ecosystems, and mitigate the impacts of climate change. Nevertheless, even as the deadline for achieving the goal of 30 x 30 grows nearer, progress continues to be elusive. We know that funding initiatives exist, but it is a challenge getting it to where it is urgently needed, quickly enough. In this session, we take a frank look at the challenge before us. By identifying some of these barriers and potential actions to remove them, together we can enable conservation finance to flow.
